Three things to start with
- Assess site exposure
- Agree the power supply
- Allow maintenance space
Assessing an outdoor site
Inspect sun exposure, rain, wind and water collecting around the base. Consider how conditions change during the day. Roofs, side shields and an awning address different needs and should not be treated as interchangeable accessories. Include the customer's standing position in the assessment, so using the screen and collecting a bouquet remain practical in less favourable weather
Base and anchoring
The machine needs a suitable base and an agreed anchoring arrangement. Installation on paving differs from installation on a prepared foundation, and additional stabilising feet have a specific purpose. Send photographs and a description of the base to the installers before delivery. Arrange power and other connections with the responsible specialists according to the requirements of the selected equipment
Seasonal outdoor upkeep
Allow space for doors, restocking and technical access. Plan snow clearance around the machine in winter and monitor dirt and sunlight on the display during warmer periods. Assign these jobs to a named person or site partner. A tidy surrounding area is part of the buying experience even when you monitor the machine remotely from somewhere else
